Young people are the owners of the future. They are key to connecting past, present and future. The organizers of this event aim to formulate a statement on Water, Heritage and Youth. The event gathers participants with different ages and backgrounds (activism, art, and professionals) for an  intergenerational dialogue on youth’s demands and dreams regarding Water, Heritage and Youth. This event is part of a broader program of side events organized by ICOMOS ISC Water and Heritage and UNESCO Chair for Water, Ports and Historic Cities (WPCH). This event aims at:

  • Gathering input from the speakers and the audience to work towards a youth statement on water and heritage.
  • Enabling representatives from younger generations with different backgrounds (activists, artists, young professionals) to have the floor during an international conference together with respected water and heritage officials.
  • Envisioning the road from ideas to meaningful action.

  • Session 1: Activism
  • Session 2: Art
  • Session 3: Young Professionals
  • Session 4: Mixed Dialogue
