Water is a critical resource and demands a collective response, yet there is limited inclusion of diverse voices in water decision-making.
Our ‘Scoping Solidarity’ Dialogue will bring together First Nations, faith leaders, scientists and policymakers, universities, global networks, and local communities for a ‘storytelling’ process to add to the growing transformative commitments for water action around the world.
The Scoping Solidarity Dialogue is a first collective step to share perspectives, experiences, and knowledge on water-related issues to lead to actions and improved water outcomes. This event will provide a fresh perspective and thinking that normally does not get the attention it deserves. In particular, the voices and wisdom of Indigenous Leaders do not get the attention they deserve and will feature in our Dialogue.
This event is an important opportunity to learn, network, share experiences, and connect with others who are also passionate about water-related issues as we scope how to deliver a better water world.
This side event will begin with First Nations storytellers from different regions sharing their concerns. This is followed by sharing research on water justice and pathways forward by academics and community leaders. The program’s final and most crucial part will include an hour of discussion with the various participants to co-create pathways to improve just and safe water outcomes locally and globally.
This event is not just another gathering but an opportunity to be part of a process that we hope will build dialogues across various communities globally throughout the coming 18 months and beyond.
**The event is invite-only**
