Calling all Community Scientists!
The Bronx River has seen tremendous improvements over the years, but it still suffers from poor water quality and pollution. Collecting data on the river’s water quality is the best way we can support its restoration and protection. Please join the Bronx River Ecology program for an introduction to the 2023 community science program season. This is an opportunity for you to acquire field safety guidelines, learn how to record observational data and collect a water sample, and meet other water quality stewards! Water quality monitoring along the Bronx River takes place between May and October.
NOTE: Water quality sampling takes place on alternating Thursday mornings during the sampling season. The training is mandatory to be able to participate in this program.
