What: Our side event will focus on the Interactive Dialogue #4 Water for Cooperation: Transboundary and International Water Cooperation, Cross Sectoral Cooperation, including Scientific Cooperation, and Water Across the 2030 Agenda (SDG 6.5, 6.b and SDGs 16, 17).

Who: The event is co-organized by Climate Action Works, a project led by The Peace Innovation Institute at The Hague, and its partners the Global Greens, IEEE’s Planet Positive 2030, the New Mexico Water Resources Institute,  Transboundary Groundwater Resilience Network and the Peaceful Society Science and Innovation Foundation.

Our activities within the Peace Engineering Consortium make us an ideal hub to host impactful conversations on transboundary, international and cross sectoral water cooperation.

The event will also feature solutions-focused case studies such as rainwater reclamation and drip irrigation.

We will also include an interactive hands-on activity offered by the Water Puzzle Workshop, to introduce a powerful and innovative way to learn more about the complex implications of the water cycle.

Where: Online

Goal: We will aim to connect NGOs, activists and institutions working on the ground in North America and Europe to protect our water. Presenters and attendees will include researchers, activists and solutions providers.

Our audience: action-oriented groups and NGOs seeking to connect, strengthen ties, exchange knowledge and experience, to coalesce around concrete action
