International and cross-sector cooperation on the physicochemical and nano-structural properties of water as tools for innovation in the water sector and to reach Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs).

The side-event will count with the participation of leading researchers from the molecular and nanostructure levels of water as well as specialists in cross-sector articulation to discuss the innovation that those researchers and interactions can bring. Nowadays, water, engineer and sanitation sectors do not know the enormous contribution that new discoveries in water properties can cause in different areas such as health, energy, agriculture, industry, climate adaptation etc. The event has the objective to start bridging the water sector and the frontier research on water properties in benefit of society and future generations.

Speakers:

SERGIO RIBEIRO – CIRAT – Brazil (10 minutes)
Opening and presentation of the side-event

GERALD POLLACK – University of Washington – USA (10 minutes)

GINA BRIA – Hydration Foundation – USA (10 minutes)“Bodies of Water: The Role of Hydration in Health, Wealth and Economy”

MICHAEL BACHE – Technical University of Denmark – Denmark (10 minutes)
“Perspectives on industrial applications of molecular water science”

ROUMIANA TSENKOVA – Kobe University – Japan (10 minutes)
“Aquaphotomics: Multidisciplinary Science, Education and Technology Platform”

Location: Blue Gallery, 222 E 46th St, New York, NY 10017.
