Pesticides and Water: the Contribution of International Pesticide Standards for Life Quality and Water Security

The side event will gather the most influent researchers and institutions worldwide on the theme of pesticides and it´s impacts on the water and public health to discuss the creation of an International Pesticides Standards Alliance (IPSA).

This group of institutions are in a one-year preparatory process to launch, during the side-event of the Water Conference in New York City the International Pesticides Standards Alliance (IPSA). The signature of the Cooperation Protocol of IPSA is going to happen by the end of the side-event.

The Alliance gather institutions that research and do policy work to create international standards to ban pesticides that deteriorate water, environment, and public health, especially those classified as HHP (Highly Hazardous Pesticides).
