Water scarcity, climate change, energy crisis – our use of resources needs to be radically rethought. The sanitary industry will have to develop new solutions that are not only produced more sustainably, but enable a more efficient use of water in the bathroom. As a multinational company in the manufacture of taps and showers, the Hansgrohe Group has developed a “Green Vision Beyond Water: Rethinking Bathroom Culture“.

The Hansgrohe Green Vision Beyond Water is a design study that tries to push boundaries in bathrooms of industrialized countries with 90% less water use, 90% less energy consumption – and therefore 90% less CO2 emissions. The concept is open to discussion, further development and ideation within the industry, academia, and the broader spectrum of water-related stakeholders. The Hansgrohe Group invites the international water community to join the debate on the future of the bathroom.

Agenda:

  • Welcome and introduction by Hans Jürgen Kalmbach, CEO, Hansgrohe Group
  • Presentation of “Hansgrohe’s Green Vision Beyond Water – Rethinking Bathroom Culture” by Steffen Erath, Head of Innovation and Sustainability, Hansgrohe Group
  • Open discussion: How to accelerate innovative approaches and changed consumer behavior to achieve water protection in bathrooms of industrialized countries?
